A microschool is a small, intentionally sized learning environment—far fewer students than a traditional classroom—built for personalized instruction, close teacher-student relationships, and a more flexible, family-oriented approach to education. The Greenhouse School is a microschool with a target enrollment of just 10 students in our core program.

A hybrid school blends in-person instruction with a homeschool structure. Students attend in person part of the week—for us, Tuesdays and Thursdays—and continue learning at home the rest of the week under family guidance. It gives families flexibility and ownership over their child’s education while still providing community, structure, and expert instruction.

Our core program serves Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, and we offer enrichment opportunities for homeschool students in grades 3–5, middle school, and high school.

Enrichment for grades 3–5, middle school, and high school runs on the same Tuesday and Thursday schedule as our K–2 core program, grouped by age band, with a minimum of one day per week. Enrichment students receive the same all-inclusive Family Contribution benefits as our core program learners. Our spring semester begins January 12, 2027. The 2026–2027 school year began September 8, 2026, and a few Fall 2026 seats are still available.

The primary in-person learning rhythm is Tuesdays and Thursdays, with selected Friday Cultivation Days for hands-on and real-world experiences.

Yes. Our hybrid model is intentionally structured to support homeschooling families. We provide in-person instruction, community, enrichment and hands-on experiences while leaving meaningful room for each family’s home-learning rhythm.

Class sizes are intentionally small so every child can be known, supported and challenged with care. We’re keeping enrollment to just 10 spots total, across both our K–2 core program and enrichment—a deliberate choice, not a placeholder number, so every child gets our full attention.

Yes. We’re intentionally Christ-centered, with biblical truth woven throughout learning, character formation and practical life. Families from Christian traditions are welcome.

Our approach emphasizes mastery and meaningful growth rather than making traditional A–F grades the center of learning.

We treat nutrition, movement and wellness as part of the educational model, not an add-on. Students take part in age-appropriate food preparation, whole-food learning, cold-pressed juice making, freshly milled bread, cooking experiences and conversations about how nourishment supports energy, mood and focus.

Yes. Our school thrives on family involvement and participation. Our Collab Days are quarterly family workshops planned to help families learn, connect and strengthen the rhythms that support children at school and at home. There will also be many other opportunities for growth and community throughout the year.

The Greenhouse School uses a simple, all-inclusive pricing model called the Family Contribution—one price that covers your child’s full experience, not a series of line-item add-ons. A separate application fee and enrollment fee apply during the admissions process, and families enrolling more than one child receive a 10% sibling discount. We also grant scholarships and financial assistance upon request, on a case-by-case basis.

It starts with joining our interest list. From there, we’ll schedule a Connection Call, followed by an in-person tour of The Greenhouse and a family interview. Once you’re ready to move forward, you’ll complete the enrollment paperwork, and your family will be invited to Discovery Day—an in-person experience day where your child gets to meet their teacher and classroom before their first official day.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the school day runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm, with drop-off from 9:45 to 10:00am.

The Greenhouse School operates under Georgia’s Learning Pod Protection Act, which categorically exempts small, family-style programs like ours from DECAL (state) licensing requirements. Because we’re a hybrid model, families are also responsible for submitting their Declaration of Intent to homeschool with the Georgia Department of Education within the required timeframe. We’re happy to walk you through that process.
